Beulah Studios is a boutique interior design studio with offices in East London and Central France. We are a practice driven by the profound desire to create spaces that evoke deep emotions, enhance well-being, and promote sustainability.
Our passion lies in restoring period properties, barn conversions and boutique commercial spaces infusing them with new life while preserving their timeless charm. We believe in the transformative power of design to create environments that are not only beautiful but also meaningful and sustainable.
We are inspired by the ability of thoughtfully designed spaces to touch the soul, evoke a sense of place, and elevate the human experience.
Our mission is to craft interiors that resonate on an emotional level, providing comfort, joy, and inspiration to all who enter.
The Studio offers a range of services, including our signature design package, ‘The Mulberry Collection’, a Full- Renovation Turnkey Service from concept to completion. Our collaborations involve Architects, Engineer’s, Contractors and Project Managers. ‘The Willow Collection”, a Virtual Design Service offered completely online it's an alternative to a full-service Design Project.

Meet Chanteal
Founder & Creative Director
Bonjour à Tous, I'm Chanteal!
My fascination with languages and a love for architecture, art, fashion, and design shaped my worldview from an early age. Growing up surrounded by the arts—whether through visits to galleries, and museums, listening to classical music, or attending theatre performances—had a profound influence on my life. These experiences nurtured my creativity and helped me develop a keen eye for detail and beauty.
My passion led me to study fine art, fashion, and textile design, where I honed my artistic skills and deepened my understanding of aesthetics. After graduating in 2002, I began my career in the fashion industry in London, a city that offered vibrant inspiration and opportunities. However, after purchasing my first home my love for creating more personal, lasting environments led me to transition into interior design. I then went on to work as an Interior Designer in central London for several years before leaving London and relocating with my husband and young family to France.
In 2018, we founded Eden Barn Designs & Co now Beulah Studios, where we now specialise in restoring period properties, barn conversions and boutique commercial spaces, blending timeless European aesthetics with sustainable, well-crafted designs. Our journey reflects a passion for creating spaces that elevate well-being and evoke a deep sense of emotion and connection.

Our story
Beulah Studios was created during a big renovation project of our own, in 2012 when we brought our two-hundred-year-old stone barn in rural France. With lots of big ideas, dreams and enough episodes of Grand Designs, my Husband and I decided to turn our passion for architecture and interior design into a reality. After leaving the hustle and bustle of Metropolitan London behind, we embarked on a new chapter and adventure to pursue our dreams of a simpler country life, and in turn, becoming designers.
After graduating from design school, and with Jeff's 25 years’ experience as an engineer and developer of hundreds of commercial buildings and luxury apartments across the UK, we decided to open our Design Studio and Online Retail Store. I was wanting to share my French-inspired ideas and modern twist on the traditional country home into something much more.
To think that as a teenager dreaming of one day living abroad in the rural countryside, with big ideas, plans and countless mood boards of designing and renovating my own barn conversion. I have turned my passion into an online retail store, interior design business and gîte holiday rental. It's unbelievable sometimes but it proves that your dreams can become a reality with hard work, passion, and determination. It's been an amazing journey for which we are truly thankful and grateful.
Together we continue to renovate our family home and build and develop our businesses, portfolio and brand.
